Care for the Aged

In India, a large percentage of the elders is poor and destitute, badly in need of food and shelter. In the past two decades the social scene , due to a number of factors, has undergone drastic changes with the joint family system breaking down. Today nuclear families are the norm. Migration to cities and overseas in search of better opportunities and breaking down of relationships contribute to the isolation of the aged. This brings to the fore the need for the social security and protetion for the aged who become more dependant on others for their day-to-day needs. In this context it is the medical and emotional wants that are to be met.

Thus we have taken a few initiatives to provide services like Day Care Centres, old Age Homes for the aged, who lack family support and are unable to fend for themselves.
